Ci Ci's

2156 Walker Lake Rd
Mansfield, OH 44903
(419) 747-3433

This all you can eat pizza stop is a Mansfield favorite. Usually busy, there are plenty of different types of pizza to choose from and they always keep the buffet fully stocked. You can start out your meal with a salad bar, and finish it off with a tasty choice of desert. Over all, this is my favorite self service restaurant in Mansfield.

Applebee's

145 Stander Ave
Mansfield, OH
(419) 756-9303‎

When you're looking for a moderately priced nice place to eat Applebee's is a good choice. With its dark interior accents its easy to relax as you enjoy your food. The service is usually friendly, and there is never a wait to be seated.

My food was good, I ordered a 9 oz. steak (which was cooked to my liking) and some broccoli. The food was served within a reasonable time of ordering, and the bill was taken care of in a quick manner.

Bob Evan's

30 W Hanley Rd
Mansfield, OH 44903
(419) 756-6031

I suppose the ambiance at this particular Bob Evans is much the same as any other one. The red tile floor, wooden tables, and friendly white-shirt wearing servers. Bob Evans is a great casual dining choice because they offer a wide variety of wallet-friendly food selections.

There were lots of people in line to be seated, but the hostess were very quick about finding us a seat. Our waitress was very friendly and took our order as soon as we were ready. This time I ordered the sausage and cheese omelet with a side of broccoli, and an English muffin, with an iced tea to drink.

My omelet was cooked just the way I like it, the egg infused with cheese and sausage, cooked thoroughly but not too long. The broccoli was juicy and flavorful. The waitress was very careful to keep our glasses full so we never went thirsty.

I really like this meal when I go to Bob Evans because I like to cut the omelet in half and make a sandwich out of it with my English muffin. The broccoli offers a colorful healthy alternative to the home fries.

Cheddar's

979 N Lexington Springmill Rd
Mansfield, OH 44906
(419) 747-9777

Warm dark wood accents greet the visitor as they step into this dimly lit casual atmosphere. Friendly staff seated us as soon as we came in the door at around 6 o'clock. The menu had plenty of intriguing choices, there were at least 5 things that all sounded equally sumptuous. I ended up ordering a salad followed by a lemon pepper chicken plate, with a loaded mashed potato, fresh broccoli, and a strawberry iced tea to drink. After dinner I ordered a cookie monster for desert. The waitress was friendly and put our order in right away. We did have to ask for a refill because my girlfriend's cup had been empty for a while, other than that the service was very good. We waited a painless 20 minuets for our food.

The salad comes with a croissant dripping in honey-butter, a tasty treat before dinner. When my meal came everything looked good, there were good sized portions of each part of my plate, a large baked potato, plenty of broccoli, and two medium chicken breast on a bed of rice. Everything tasted exactly as delicious as they sounded, with the exception of the chicken. The chicken was covered in a lemon pepper coating. There was one bite where the pepper was over-whelming, and I needed a drink to get the taste out of my mouth. Except for that one bite the rest of the chicken was really good! After eating my meal I was pleasantly full, some people might not be able to finish it all because of the portion sizes. After dinner I wanted a dessert, so I ordered the cookie monster. They bake the cookie's to demand, they're about 8 inches in diameter and oozing with chocolate chips. The cookies come served hot with two scoops of vanilla ice cream on top and glazed with warm chocolate syrup. The cookie itself tasted home-made, and the ice cream and chocolate made the perfect dessert.
